After Spray Tanning:

Do not have ANYTHING waxed for at least 24 hours after your sunless tanning appointment!

Avoid exercise and water-based activities, or anything that causes perspiration for several hours after your spray tan.

Wait at least 6 hours before taking a shower. Do not be alarmed to see a lot of color come off in the shower – this is just the initial bronzers and is perfectly normal! Just avoid scrubbing hard and do not take a really long or hot shower.

Always use a fresh blade for shaving after a spray tan.

Out of the shower, pat dry lightly with a towel. Do not rub the towel all over your body to dry off. Be sure to fully moisturize!

Avoid swimming pools and hot tubs because chlorine will fade bronzing color.

Do not panic about darkness in the creases of your neck, underarms, knees, and other areas of your body. This is normal and will blend in after a shower.

How Stress Affects Your Skin

First let us define what stress is: a state of mental or emotional strain or tension resulting from adverse or very demanding circumstances. So the question that rises most often is how does stress affect our skin? When stress is activated, our adrenal gland dumps cortisol into the bloodstream. The real danger begins when a person is more stressed and their body can not regulate the levels of cortisol in their system. As a result, the body starts showing signs of increased sensitivity, breakouts, itchiness, and in some extreme cases, stretchmarks.

Stress is one of the body's biggest enemies. Cases of extremely dry or oily skin, acne, rosacea, signs of aging, psoriasis, herpes, eczema, allergies or even a combination of any two or more of these conditions, stress will find a way to make them worse. This can end up as a never-ending battle.

Now I know what you are thinking, is there any way for me to win this battle? The good news is yes you can. Most importantly, you are going to treat the skin condition itself first.
