Here are some of the common procedures taught in aesthetics training, used for enhancing the looks and appearance of the individuals:

Dermabrasion is a cosmetic procedure directed to eliminate Acne scars, chicken pox marks, and scars from accidents and diseases. The procedure is usually safe for individuals having fairer skin and may harm people with dark skin. In this procedure, clinician discusses procedure'srisk and benefits with the patients. Patients are also often given local anesthesia by the means of small shots of numbing medicine. A high-speed instrument with an abrasive brush eradicate the outer layers of the skin.

Microdermabrasion

In Microdermabrasion, tiny rough grains eradicate the surface layer of the skin. There is no need of any numbing machine as this procedure is much gentle and quicker than Dermabrasion. It promises to exfoliate and rejuvenate the skin to make it look soft and bright.

Chemical peels

Chemical peels are often used to enhance the skin's appearance by using chemical solutions, applied even over the skin under supervision of the clinician. In this treatment, a chemical solution is applied to the skin, which helps to peel off the damaged or aged skin cells and reveal smoother and less wrinkled skin. These peels are often used to improve fine lines and wrinkles, dry and dull skin, acne scars, skin texture, sun damaged skin and hyper pigmentation. However, chemical peels may not effectively respond to skin sags, bulges, and severe wrinkles. One may need to undergo other cosmetic surgical procedures such as laser resurfacing, a facelift, brow lift etc
